Sponsor a Poet 

OCO would like to thank everyone who came to our June fundraising concert for our 2027 production of “Poet and Plumber”.  It was a sell-out concert and has helped towards achieving our budget for putting on what will be a wonderful show next summer.  We are incredibly grateful to all the musicians who have performed at our fund-raising concerts especially as they have given their time freely.  Since the concert we have held very successful auditions for “Poet and Plumber” and we are now very close to be able to finalise the cast, featuring both professional singers and local amateurs. 

However, we still need to raise funds, and at the June concert OCO launched “Sponsor a Poet”. 

The role of Tom Waffryn-Jones, the celebrated Welsh poet will be sung by a young professional tenor who will float mellifluously above the resonant music of this witty and entertaining opera. We are looking to raise a total of £400 to ensure we can make this happen.
