OCO supports the development of young opera talent
From our foundation in 2016 OCO has dedicated itself to providing opportunity and experience for young performers. The main roles in our productions are taken by talented young professionals or those studying in conservatoires and music colleges. Our first production starred Dawn Burns, winner of the BBC Northern Ireland Young Musicians’ Platform Award, in the title role, and Samuel Pantcheff, a Britten-Pears young artist who has gone on to tour Europe with Sir John Eliot Gardiner as a soloist in Bach cantatas.
