Call for Singers

We are looking for singers to take part in an opera written by Roger Simmonds. The musical direction will be under the baton of David Todd with Marcus Davis – Orrom as Artistic Director. The orchestra will compriseyoung professionals. “Poet and Plumber” is a comic opera based on a libretto by the late Kit Arnold.

The producers are looking for singers of all ages for the principal roles, as well as members of the chorus and other roles.  If you are interested in auditioning, please contact Roger Simmonds at roger@oxcontemporaryopera.org (or 01865 872009)

Auditions will be held at Wheatley House, Station Road, Wheatley during 3rd – 6th July for the recruitment of amateur and professional singers. The performances are scheduled to take place at St Mary’s, Wheatley in June 2027.
